CMLT ČR - Guild of Painters and Decorators of the Czech Republic
The Guild of Painters and Decorators of the Czech Republic is a non-profit organization established in 2003. It currently gathers more than 250 members, including artisans, painting companies and vocational schools. It informs them about new materials and organizes training on the job. CMLT ČR is actively involved in the drafting of the legislation and, in 2007, it succeeded in making recognised the Painters craft trade. Currently, the guild is acting for the introduction of the master examination in the painting field in the Czech Republic. Members are professional craftsmen in the labour market. The association works with more than 30 professional schools from the Czech Republic and abroad. It participates in the preparation of the final apprenticeship exams and its members are also in the examination boards. It organizes trainings for vocational teachers in order to acquire skills according to the labour market needs. It is a member of the Economic Chamber and the Association of Paint Manufacturers of the Czech Republic, and actively cooperates with professional painters' associations in neighbouring countries.
