European Builders Confederation
In 1990, national associations for construction micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and craft trades from six European countries established the European Builders Confederation (EBC). EBC advocates for the economic and societal importance of construction SMEs and crafts at both European and national levels. Its members include a wide range of trades, such as general contractors, electricians, plumbers, and painters. With over 300,000 companies in its network, EBC emphasises the significant role of these businesses as local economic actors and contributors to employment in their communities.
